Before applying, please ensure that you have read the official and unofficial Entry Requirements and that you fully understand the selection procedure set out below. On reading the latter, you may be surprised at the need for the rather lengthy and demanding selection process, especially given the relatively few official entry requirements.
One aim of the process is to assess each candidate’s ‘language awareness’ and ‘potential’; though we do wish to point out that neither teaching experience nor advanced study of the English language is required. A second reason is that the interview should afford you enough time to really consider whether the Cambridge CELTA is the course for you, and to allow time for you to ask questions of us. Perhaps the main aim however, is to make sure that we don’t offer a place to- and accept money from- someone who we feel does not have a good chance of passing the course.
The IH Milano selection procedure is as follows:
- Download and complete the application form in:
PDF format or in WORD format.
- Once completed, send the application form as an attachment to infomilano@ihmilano.it or by post to the indicated address.
- Acknowledgement of receipt will be sent as soon as possible.
If your application is accepted
- You will be sent a pre-interview task which must be completed and returned.
If the task is completed satisfactorily
- You will attend an interview at the centre, or if you are applying from outside of Milano, a telephone interview will be arranged. You will be informed at the end of the interview as to whether or not you will be offered a place on the course.
